Dewey’s Readathon #3

It’s here, it’s finally here! Dewey’s readathon is happening today! Are you as excited as I am? I bought myself a ton of candy for the late hours (okay, who am I kidding?!), I have a great selection of books to choose from and last but not least, lots of tea and coffee! I’ll be cheering for Team Butler this year, and I can’t wait to get to meet some new readathon’ers. It’s gonna be fun!

The readathon, to me, is a social event as much as it’s a reading event; I’ll spend most of my time reading, but will also update regurlarly on Twitter, Instagram and on here (I’ll update this post, so be sure to bookmark it or something if you wanna follow my reading adventure these next 24 hours). I hope to do a lot of the challenges as well, but let’s see!

This readathon is gonna be the best yet! Happy reading! 🙂

13.29: Okay… So I have had a bit of a rough start! I’d chosen three books beforehand, but didn’t feel like reading them anymore, so I’ve just changed my stack of books! I think I’ll start with Mr. Penumbras 24-Hour Bookstore. The other books I’ve chosen: Karate Chops (short story collection), One Day and Mini Shopaholic. That comes in at 1344 pages! Let’s see how it goes. Just half an hour to go!

Aalborg, Denmark

I honestly don’t know! Probably Mini Shopaholic, because Shopaholic to the Stars will come out here very soon!
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
The candy! Haha 😀
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I’m 24 years old, live in Denmark and whenever I don’t read, I like to watch tv shows and crochet.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I’ll definitely read more than I eat in the first hours 😉 And hopefully sleep less than last time. I plan to sleep about 2-2½ hours, but let’s see how it goes! 🙂

16.13: I’ve been reading 121 pages of Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore and it’s the perfect readathon-book! So interesting and good! I think I’ll just continue this book until I finish it.

The energy bites (upper left) are way more delicious than they look! 😀

I’ve changed into my Tweety night shirt and I think I’ll go lie down on the floor soon – it’s so hot in here! But the floor is somewhat cold, so it might be a good idea… I’ll do a few challenges now and then BACK TO THE READIIIING! 😀

Æbleskiver. A Danish christmas tradition. Makes for a great breakfast! 😉

That’s it folks. It’s over. It’s officially over! I didn’t read as much as I expected, but I tend to set my goals too high and forget all about the social aspects, which are so much fun to me! I think I’ll go with a lower goal next time and focus more on the social parts of the event. I hope to see you around in the book community! It was great chatting with you guys!

See you in April 2015!

  1. Åh, så fine bøger – og jeg elsker dine sokker! 😀 Alt for sødt! Hr.

  4. How are you holding up? I hope that you’re having fun during this readathon! Don’t forget to eat, drink and move around regularly so you don’t get too tired too soon! Good luck!

  5. Love those socks! Wow there are a lot of Danish book bloggers! I’m partly Danish and would love to visit Denmark someday! Keep on reading in those cute socks (so cute!).

  6. Good morning to a person in the same time zone as I am 😉

You’re doing great and I think everyone deserves a little bit of sleep, right? Mr. Penumbra has been on my TBR for a while now. How did you find it?

  7. Åh, hvor jeg elsker, at du har lavet en oversigt over dine snacks!
Jeg vil dog ikke selv vide hvor meget mad jeg har fortæret i løbet af de seneste 24 timer 😉

  8. I’m impressed 😀 How did you manage to read so much, do mini challenges and do hourly updates? I wish I had time to do all that.

I just read Mr. Penumbra last week and really enjoyed it. I’m curious as to why it was the book you least enjoyed.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Until April, Happy reading! 😀
